Services for Children

Links2Care offers a variety of programs and services to families/caregivers and children between the ages of birth and 12 years of age. Our Children’s Services encompass the Ontario Early Years Centres, Georgetown/Acton Parent-Child Programs and Links2Kids School-age Programs.

Our Ontario Early Years Centres and Parent-Child Centres offer informal drop-in programs (that include activities such as creative, free play, circle and stories) registered programs (Preschool Music Makers and Summer Fun Mini Camp), resources, support and community referrals.

Our Links2Kids School-age Programs provide Before and/or Afterschool Childcare for children age 5-12 years of age. Our Before and/or Afterschool Programs offer quality school-age programming within the school environment. Park Public School and Joseph Gibbons Public School are currently the two local schools that offer our School-age Programs.

Links2Kids School-age Programs

Links2Kids School-age Programs provide a variety of age-appropriate activities that encourage social interactions in a fun and stimulating environment. Full fee and subsidized spaces available. Please contact Jennifer Mac Arthur @ (905) 873-2960 for more information.

Ontario Early Years Satellites

Our Early Years Satellites provide programs and support to families and caregivers. As well they provide information on parenting, child development and other early years services in the community.

Resource Library and Toy Lending Library

Books, videos, tapes, articles, parent/child kits and other supportive resources are available in the Georgetown and Acton Centres during program hours.

An annual membership fee allows parents and caregivers to borrow toys and equipment from our Toy Lending Libraries located in the Acton and Georgetown Ontario Early Years Satellites.

Parent/Caregiver Programs

Please join in our group discussions for parents and caregivers. It is an opportunity to meet, talk and build on knowledge and skills. The schedule includes:

  • Hour Time Lunch and Learn
  • Support Group for Parents of Children with Special Needs
  • Educational workshops and courses
