Daily Screening

If you are a Links2Care client, our team members will be calling ahead of time to screen you and your household for illness and international travel so that we can continue to care for you safely.

All staff members are proactively self-screening before visiting clients.

All visitors to Links2Care Offices are being pre-screened before arriving on site.

Impact on Services

Bathing, Home Help and Recharge, Care Navigation: Operating normally with added screening and infection prevention precautions and gear (gowns/protective suits, masks, gloves, safety glasses)

Friendly Visiting: In-person visits are suspended until further notice and volunteers will be checking in with clients via phone

Before and After School Program: On hold until schools are reopened.

Community Support – Acton: Phone and email contact only with by appointment pick-up and drop-off following physical distancing recommendations

 Preparing for COVID-19

Links2Care is as prepared as possible for the spread of COVID-19.  The following measures are in place:

  • Daily proactive screening of all clients, staff members, volunteers and visitors
  • Reinforcing Public Health and Ministry of Health protocols for staff members, volunteers and clients returning from travel outside of Canada
  • Diligent infection prevention and control measures
  • Ensuring staff are informed and have access to appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) – gloves, masks, gowns/protective suits, safety glasses
  • Monitoring the situation daily


There are simple – but very effective things you can do to help protect yourself and others from COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands!
  • Don’t touch your face
  • Regularly clean high touch surfaces such as door handles, phones, remotes
  • Limit contact with others, including maintaining a distance of over 1m, avoid shaking hands etc.
  • Stay home if you are sick
