Position Overview

Working as a Home Support Worker is a rewarding career.  You will build meaningful relationships with our clients and their families and make a real difference in their lives. Supporting seniors and persons with disabilities with mainly light housekeeping and laundry services including light dusting, bed making, vacuuming, cleaning of the bathroom, grocery shopping, laundry, sweeping and mopping of high traffic areas; basic meal preparation and light housekeeping duties such as washing dishes, taking out the garbage, doing client’s laundry. Sweeping and vacuuming within the client immediate living area.

Job Type:           Part-time

Service Area:     Work close to home in: Mississauga (South Central or North West), Etobicoke, Oakville (East/West), Milton, Georgetown OR Acton

Hours:               Flexible

Salary:               $19.27 per hour plus paid mileage/travel, orientation, and training and development

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member and related experience
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal
  • Second language is an asset
  • Ability to interact with others in a caring, tactful and courteous manner
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must drive and have access to a reliable vehicle.  (Employees who drive on behalf of Links2Care for work related purposes must possess and provide proof of a valid Ontario driver’s license and w minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance on their vehicle).
  • Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen prior to and throughout employment as requested by Links2Care is required.
