Receivables and Billing Coordinator

Links2Care is looking to fill a full-time position of Receivables and Billing Coordinator. This position is based out of our Georgetown location and reports to the Director, Finance.

The Receivables and Billing Coordinator is responsible for client accounts receivable processing, overdue account policy adherence and for carrying out a wide variety of additional finance department functions and administrative support as required, while actively demonstrating, promoting, and supporting the Values, Mission and Vision of Links2Care.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for onsite processing, printing & distribution of client statements, prepare monthly statements, monitor overdue accounts & NSF cheques, and while utilizing Alayacare systems for information and reporting
  • Maintain accurate and timely client and matter information with regards to billing and receivables in computerized billing system
  • Proactively be involved in the billing process improvements including developing innovative, proactive and efficient ways to improve quality, process and customer service
  • Responsible for the process of PAD agreements, payments for client statements and create PAD batches
  • Coordinate all email or fax EFT Reports from all banking institutions
  • Enter all Payments received through Direct Deposit on weekly basis
  • Review and adjust client accounts to present accurate ageing of outstanding Accounts Receivable listings by department an prepare analysis of overdue accounts
  • Respond to client billing concerns; create cheque requisitions for clients’ credits
  • Reconcile month end sales and payment
  • Other projects as assigned including assistance with special projects. Participate in the implementation and testing of systems upgrades and billing/collection software as needed

Qualifications

  • College level two-year Accounting Diploma.
  • Minimum two years related Bookkeeping/Finance experience.
  • Minimum of two years office experience preferably in a multiple department environment.
  • Experience in the use of accounting, Microsoft Office software; Experience with CIMS-HR, QHR and Great Plains is an asset.
  • Knowledgeable of general accounting, bookkeeping and cost accounting practices.
  • Experience with automated billing and process and continuous improvement
  • Ability to meet deadlines and carry out work with a minimum of direction.
  • Proficiency with computers including intermediate to advanced Excel skills, experience with Alayacare is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), focused listening, interpersonal skills
  • Research and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise judgement to resolve technical issues
  • Attention to detail, organized and time management skills along with the ability to balance daily work
  • Completion of a satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen prior to and throughout employment as requested by Links2Care is required.
  • Employees who drive on behalf of Links2Care for work related purposes must possess and provide proof of a valid Ontario driver’s license and a minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance on their vehicle.
