In partnership with the Halton District School Board and the Region of Halton, Links2Care will continue to provide their vital gamut of support and services to people of all ages in the community while proudly furthering the amazing work begun by the Our Kids Network.

The Hub was conceived as a gathering space for social, educational, and supportive needs and annexed to the MSB to take advantage of visibility, access, and proximity to families. In other words, it’s where we already go for school, swimming, and recreation, so is a perfect, one stop shopping location to offer a Links2Care’s wider range of health and social services including:

  • Programs for children 0-6 years with their parents and caregivers (in addition to our Wallace St., Acton and James St., Georgetown EarlyON Child & Family Centres)
  • Meal delivery, home care, assisted bathing, community navigation and social connection for seniors and adults with disabilities
  • Financial, health, housing and food and basic needs support for people of all ages

Reflecting Links2Care’s community-oriented, client-centred culture, our open-door, holistic approach is intended to decrease stigma as people of all walks of life interact with each other under one roof. Ideally, people can pop in to chat or play and leave with information and support they may not have been aware existed or even realize they needed! In addition, we are encouraging partner agencies to co-locate with us at the new Hub to expand service options and respond further to the unique needs of the Acton community.

And not to worry, the familiar, beautiful, compassionate faces of Janet Battista, Community Support and Meals Coordinator and Cathy Gerrow, Community Support Program Leader will still be there to welcome and make everyone feel at home and cared for!

New Hours

Our hours will be 9:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday to accommodate school routines, and to ease into the move, our old 47 Mill St. East location will remain open during the transition. Follow us on Facebook @links2care or visit www.links2care.ca for up-to-date information.

EarlyON Child and Family Centre

Our EarlyON Wallace St. (Band Hall) Centre will continue to operate as usual with the new Hub offering even more programming for our families to enjoy. Follow us on Facebook @earlyyears or visit www.links2care.ca for all our EarlyON schedules.

Thank you Jon!

We want to add a very sincere thank you to Jon Hurst, Halton Hills Councillor and community supporter extraordinaire, for being such a wonderfully generous and accommodating landlord during our time at 47 Mill Street East. We truly appreciate all that Jon has done for us over the years and trust his support will remain unshakable though we’re no longer under the same roof.
